A form of loan that does not require high levels of evidence in relation to earning power and ability to repay. This loan is often used by the self-employed or people who don’t want to disclose this information. The borrower provides a written statement that they will pay. Because it is high risk for any lender these loans tend to have higher interest rates than more standard loans.
