GOOGLE’S NOTEBOOKLM

Hello Chasers,

Over the Christmas break I got to use and play around with Google’s NotebookLM –  a new tool that uses the power of large language models to help you better understand and use your notes.

It can be used to summarise notes, answer questions, generate new ideas, and even write blog posts.

How does it work?

NotebookLM works by first analysing your notes and then using that information to generate new text. This means that the more notes you have, the better NotebookLM will be able to understand your thinking and help you with your work.

What can it do?

Here are some examples of what NotebookLM can do:

  • Summarise your notes: NotebookLM can quickly and easily summarise your notes, which can be helpful for studying or reviewing material.
  • Answer questions: NotebookLM can answer questions about your notes, which can be helpful for research or brainstorming.
  • Generate new ideas: NotebookLM can help you generate new ideas by analysing your notes and finding connections that you might not have seen before.
  • Write blog posts: NotebookLM can even help you write blog posts by generating text based on your notes.

How can I use it?

To use NotebookLM, simply upload your notes to the NotebookLM website. Once your notes are uploaded, you can start using NotebookLM to summarise, answer questions, generate ideas, and more, such as:

  • Summarising books, PDFs, videos
  • Add sources and quiz them to get better answers or ideas
  • Finding insights on reviews
  • Create perfect scripts for podcasts or videos
  • Make a faceless podcast
  • Or even use is as a coach for any aspect of your life!

Who is it for?

NotebookLM is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to better understand and use their notes. It is especially helpful for students, researchers, writers, and anyone who wants to improve their productivity.

And …

Yes, there is a free version of Google’s NotebookLM available to anyone with a Google account. You can access it by going to notebooklm.google.com.

However, there’s also a paid version called NotebookLM Plus, which is part of Google Workspace and requires a Gemini license. This version has some extra features not included in the free version.

Overall, we are impressed with Google’s NotebookLM. It is a powerful tool that can help you with a variety of tasks. We believe that NotebookLM has the potential to change the way we think about and use our notes.

Have a great day!
