With improvements in technology comes improvement in data collection and analysis which is proven to be a great tool for business owners. However, it also becomes a great weapon to combat fraud and non-disclosure by the ATO!

The ATO’s pre-filling service allows tax agents to cross-check the information provided by customers with information the ATO has obtained from various organisations.

The 2022 pre-filling information available in the pre-filling report through both ‘Online services for agents‘ and ‘Practitioner lodgement service‘ (if the agent uses standard business reporting (‘SBR’)-enabled software) allows us to confirm the accuracy of the information provided by customers before completing their tax returns.
