Content that is Current – the Key!

Hello Chasers,

Another one of the keys to optimising your online presence is to keep your content current and fresh. There is nothing worse than finding a site that looks cool and really interesting but the most recent article was produced several years ago!

Content, particularly unique, current and relevant content is the most important part of a successful website, so it is important to pay attention to small details as to maximise its impact. Focus on getting on top of images, header, title, header and links optimised.

Here’s a couple of other things to consider:

  1. Use a larger font size for your ‘Keywords’ to attract immediate attention. It’s a given that titles, headers, and subheaders normally stand out.
  2. Don’t use bolds and italics for secondary keywords, as they are normally penalised thanks to click baits, spam and similar practices!
  3. Content on similar topics needs to be clearly separated so that its impact is not wasted and simply treated as duplicate content by Google and penalised.
  4. Keep your style and tone of voice for your brand consistent to make your content more recognisable and trustworthy. An inconsistent tone will make your brand image confusing to both your audience and to search engines for your SEO ranking. And it is unprofessional too!

Optimising your online presence requires a focus on keywords, links and meta descriptions.

High-quality content that is unique, current and relevant is the key and sites that consistently produce this content will always have better rankings than lower quality ones.

Make sure you don’t neglect the technical aspects of optimisation when producing awesome content with great imagery.

Have a great day!
